FrontCube logo rebranding
Finding a logo which is unique and at the same time having a special significance is not an easy task. During my freelancing days while studying at the university, I used “Web Live Studio” as my unique brand. For this, I came up with a dotted, connected “W” shaped letter for our logo. With further discussions, my friend, Malinga, suggested his ideas on how the logo can be improved. Finally we ended up with the logo as you can see below:
Although we had a good name, I was more keen on having a name which does not mention anything about “Web” at all. Some examples were like ‘ThoughtWorks’, ‘Big – Spaceship’, ‘Preloaded’. One reason is that these names could be branded easily. However, I believe you would agree with me that, you need to be really lucky to find an astounding name with a .COM domain nowadays.
I spent days experimenting with various names that could be most suitable for the company. Finally it came down to two names which were eligible to register with a .COM domain. From this, FrontCube sounded cool. So, eventually I picked that up.
When I started FrontCube, as described in the following post, I was totally occupied with many client projects even before the official launch. This prevented me from spending some time, especially for the branding and site design of FrontCube. Yet, I had to launch the company within a short period of time. Therefore, what I did was to change only the name to FrontCube in my previously designed template that I already designed for Web Live Studio site and pushed it to production.
I have been thinking about brand designing for FrontCube, but it was quite difficult to find the time for it during the past 6 months. Fortunately, I was able to spend some time on it last week.
While analyzing our existing logo created for Web Live Studio, I realized that it does not match with the name FrontCube in any way. So I sat down, relaxed and concentrated on rebranding our FrontCube logo. Eventually, my thought was to display some kind of cube, but in addition to that,. I also wanted to exhibit the infinity symbol.
You may be wondering why the Infinity symbol?
Well, one reason is to depict the infinite number of services we provide. In addition, it would also portray the endless amount of customer satisfaction gained through our services.
So the challenge was to integrate the infinity symbol with a cube, which exhibits our care and concern over our clients’ projects.
After many trials, I was finally able to integrate the infinity symbol with a cube, plus, it also has a nice 3D look. I’m so excited and enthusiastic with our new logo. Hope you will also feel the same.
